Dr. Souza was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As a military spouse and a mother, Dr. Souza has had the opportunity to live all over the country and experience the benefits and challenges of being a military dependent navigating various healthcare systems.
Dr. Souza helped found Link Audiology, LLC, with her passion for community involvement and humanitarian work at the heart of its mission. Her goal is to provide patients with thorough and individualized care. She believes that the ability to communicate with those around us is crucial for overall well-being.
Dr. Souza received her Bachelor in Linguistics from the University of Oregon and studied Speech and Hearing Science at Portland State University. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Audiology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
While pursuing her degree, Dr. Souza completed her externship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, where she also became involved with Mayflower Medical Outreach’s ongoing humanitarian audiology projects in Nicaragua.
Upon graduation, she remained involved with MMO and helped manage the International Humanitarian Hearing Aid Purchasing Program. She has been a guest lecturer for the World Health Organization and a co-author of research on advanced in-ear calibration presented at the Academy for Research in Otolaryngology’s Midwinter Meetings. She was recently published in the Journal of the Acoustic Society of America.
She enjoys spending time with her family and pets in her free time, hiking, cooking, and discovering everything Washington offers.
Dr. Souza no longer sees patients at Link Audiology as she has moved out of the country but still works remotely with us on various projects.
